Uses: as an important organic synthetic raw material and solvent, it is used to produce acetic anhydride, chloroform, iodoform, epoxy resin, polycarbonate, plexiglass, polyisoprene rubber, medicine, pesticide, etc. It is also used as a solvent for cellulose acetate, plastics, coatings and dewaxing. It can also be used as diluent and extractant of vitamins and hormones
